Why Our Prices Are So Low
You are probably wondering how we can charge as much as 50% less than our competition and still be in business, right?
First of all, we run a tight ship. We run Atenara House on a small yet experienced regular staff; we simplify our reservation system by accepting only advanced bookings so we don't waste our resources;
our rooms are comfortable, clean and complete but don't have any frills
(after all, you have come to see Baguio, not necessarily just stay in
your room). We also don't waste money on unnecessary things like maintaining a Manila booking office or Baguio newpaper and radio ads. We have taken pesonal charge of advertising and rely on "relationship marketing," believing that, if we treat our guests very well, they will rave about our service to their friends.
Second, we're straight shooters. There are no tricks in what we do, just good, old-fashioned, reliable business principles. Quite often we're asked if we bait our customers with low rates and charge add-on prices. Anybody that expects us to do that will be disappointed. We believe in the principle of "what you see is what you get" and will not make promises we can't keep. We try to anticipate our guests' needs upon booking and are up front when we say that "pick-up service is free," "we suggest two kids share an extra bed" or "firewood is available at a minimal charge."
Third, we enjoy our work. We love taking care of our guests, are delighted to showcase the Atenara House advantage and take great pleasure in their exploration of our beautiful city. No two days are ever the same the way no two guests are alike. We greet each day with eager anticipation and retire happily at night knowing our guests are safe, secure and satisfied. Being able to pat ourselves on the back for a job well done forms part of our compensation.
What's the end result of all this? Well, we're happy to tell you that our guests have discovered that beautiful appointments, great food and superb service in a fantastic, upscale location need not be expensive.
